House Rules

To ensure an exceptional and seamless stay for your group while preserving the tranquility of our local residential neighborhood, please carefully abide by our community house rules.

01 / Footwear Guidelines

In accordance with traditional Japanese customs and to keep our premium designer wood floors pristine, our home is strictly a footwear-free environment.

Please remove all outdoor shoes at the front entrance area (Genkan) immediately upon arrival. Indoor slippers are provided for your comfort during your stay.

02 / Smoking Policy

Haven Kukan is an entirely **smoke-free sanctuary** designed for multi-generational families and children.

Smoking of any kind—including traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, or heated tobacco products—is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the multi-story facility, on the balconies, near the front entrance, or along the immediate roadside perimeter.

03 / Neighborhood Quiet Hours

Our home sits within a historic, peaceful residential neighborhood in Osaka. Sound travels easily down narrow traditional streets, and we prioritize extreme respect for our neighbors.

  • Please keep windows closed at night to isolate conversational sounds.
  • Strict neighborhood quiet hours are enforced **from 22:00 until 8:00 AM**.
  • Kindly refrain from loud music, heavy footsteps, or raised voices inside the house, near the doorway, or on the road during these hours.

04 / Guest Stays & Security Camera

For insurance validation and strict local compliance with Japan’s housing laws, only the exact number of guests listed on your booking reservation are permitted on the property at any time.

Unregistered day-visitors or additional overnight guests are not allowed inside the facility. To verify headcount transparency, a secure compliance camera is active at the exterior front door entrance. If your traveling group size changes, please submit an official update through your booking portal prior to your arrival.

05 / Oversized Waste Disposals

Japanese municipal recycling systems are highly strict. Standard garbage collection will not accept large, heavy structural items.

If you choose to discard heavy baggage items such as **damaged suitcases, broken baby strollers, or large transit boxes**, a mandatory specialty disposal fee of 3,000 JPY per item will be charged.

Please contact our operations team ahead of time if you need us to facilitate an oversized trash removal ticket. Unannounced items left behind following check-out will be billed retrospectively.

06 / Upkeep & Maintenance

  • Daily Cleaning: Mid-stay towel changes and active room-cleaning services are not included during your booking window to ensure total privacy. Laundry facilities are provided on the second floor for your unlimited use.
  • Asset Care: Please ensure all kitchenware, pans, and children's request gear are washed and left orderly. Please handle our tailored electronics and design items with careful consideration.
